Bruce Gabites is Managing Director and principal photographer of Fine Photography. With over 17
years experience as a full time professional photographer, Bruce is a NZ Institute of Professional
Photography (NZIPP) Qualified Master of Photography.
"Great photography goes deeper than simply showing what you look like," says Bruce. "Our passion
is about telling stories through photography - stories about who you are and your relationship with
those you love. When the qualities of intimacy, relationship and love come together in a moment of
your life, the resulting image will endure as a piece of fine art - it will always touch your heart when
you look at it."
The recipient of over 40 national photographic awards, Bruce is the only NZ photographer ever to
have won the prestigious Kodak Gold Award (Wedding Album Category) for ten successive years.
Bruce is a past-Chairman of NZIPP Auckland. He been a judge at the National Epson NZIPP NZ
Professional Photography Awards and has appeared on TV and lectured to professional photo-
graphers throughout NZ. His photography has been published in books and magazines, nationally
and internationally. Several of his photographs are held in a collection at a the Museum of NZ Te
Papa Tongarewa.
